About

Jean W. Liew, MD, is a board-certified rheumatologist at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and an assistant professor at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. After receiving her medical degree, Dr. Liew completed an internal medicine residency at Oregon Health & Science University and a rheumatology fellowship at the University of Washington. During her fellowship, her research focused on axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) and cardiovascular comorbidity. Her current clinical research focuses on knee osteoarthritis and axSpA. Dr. Liew has also led multiple projects on data collection, analysis, and dissemination of information relating to the impact of COVID-19 on people with rheumatic disease.
