An Update Regarding Seasonal Illnesses

To help prevent the spread of seasonal respiratory illnesses, we strongly encourage all visitors to wear a mask while in ambulatory clinics or inpatient units. Surgical masks are available at hospital and clinic entrances. Patients with respiratory illnesses should also wear masks. Thank you for helping protect our patients, staff, and community.

About

Dr. Batal is a Clinical Associate Professor of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Director of the Oral Surgery Group Practice at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. He graduated with a dental degree from Damascus University, Syria, and then completed his DMD training through the Advanced Standing program at GSDM. He is a 2003 graduate of the Boston University OMS training program. Dr. Batal joined the full-time faculty in 2003 when he was appointed Clinical Director of the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery outpatient clinic at BMC. He has also held the position of Director of the one-year preliminary Internship program from 2004–2011 and currently is the Director of the oms Faculty Practice. Dr. Batal’s interests include hard and soft-tissue implant surgery. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Batal is extensively published.
