About

Erica Holland, MD is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist, specializing in maternal and fetal medicine at Boston Medical Center (BMC). Dr. Holland is also an assistant professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. Her research interests include the role of urine drug testing in pregnancy, the management of opioid use disorder during pregnancy, pain management during and after childbirth, and ethical issues surrounding the care of pregnant individuals. She is an attending physician with Project Respect, caring for patients with substance use disorder affecting pregnancy and the postpartum period. Dr. Holland is a member of the Boston Medical Center Ethics Committee as well as the ACOG Ethics Committee. An expert in her field, she serves as a national guest speaker on the topic of urine drug testing in pregnancy.
