Elizabeth Plange, MSW, LICSW, CCHP is an independently licensed social worker with more than fifteen years of experience in social services, specializing in forensic social work and substance use disorders. A graduate of Simmons University School of Social Work, Elizabeth has worked in various forensic and community settings, focusing on work with vulnerable individuals at risk of involvement with the

At Boston Medical Center, Elizabeth oversees the Criminal Justice Diversion Programs, including BOAT, mental health court, drug court, the Boston Police Co-Response program and Boston EMS’s Alternative Response Model.
Elizabeth is passionate about serving populations with complex trauma, and whom have been impacted by systemic racism and exposure to violence. Living and working within the City of Boston has provided a unique perspective on the gap in behavioral health resources.
