Christopher Digesu, MD is a Thoracic Surgeon in the Department of Surgery at Boston Medical Center and is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Digesu completed his general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. While there, he served as the Administrative Chief Resident of the General Surgery Program and completed the American Association for Thoracic Surgery (AATS) Robotics Fellowship as well as the prestigious AATS Leadership Academy. His clinical interests are in robotic and minimally invasive thoracic oncology and surgery. His research and personal interests include clinical trials in thoracic oncology and fostering diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives within surgery to combat disparities in the care of surgical patients and to promote diversity within the field.
