Dr. Christine Cheston is a pediatric hospitalist who is passionate about providing the highest level of patient care to children of all ages and their families. She strives to use the most up-to-date medical research to help families make the best decisions in the care of their children alongside pediatric residents and medical students. Dr. Cheston is particularly interested in ... making sure that families who prefer a language other than English receive top notch service and communication from the medical team. She has led quality improvement projects to increase access to professional interpreters and promote standardized certification for approved bilingual providers across the hospital. Lastly, Dr. Cheston is a leader in the pediatric residency program and is driven to address issues of bias and systemic racism in medical education to ensure that the pediatric workforce is representative of the diverse patients that we serve, both here at BMC and beyond.
