Amy M. Yule, MD

Amy M. Yule, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in child and adolescent psychiatry and addiction psychiatry at Boston Medical Center (BMC), where she serves as Vice Chair of Addiction Psychiatry, Director of Adolescent Addiction Psychiatry, and Co-Director of the WRAP without Walls initiative for adolescents and young adults with frequent substance use and psychosis symptoms. She is also an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

Dr. Yule received her medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and completed her psychiatry residency training at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston and McLean Hospital in Belmont, Massachusetts. She subsequently completed fellowships in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and in Addiction Psychiatry at MGH/McLean.

Dr. Yule’s clinical practice, in a multidisciplinary outpatient clinic, is focused on treating youth with co-occurring substance use disorders (SUDs) and psychiatric disorders, as well as supporting their families.

Her research focuses on decreasing the risks associated with substance use among youth; examining interventions to prevent SUDs in youth with psychiatric disorders; and treatments for co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders.
