Weather Advisory: Temporary Door Closure

Due to extreme cold, access through the Moakley Building's entrance off Boston Medical Center Place will be temporarily closed from 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, through 7 a.m. Monday, Feb. 2.

All patients and visitors should use the main entrance for the Menino and Yawkey Buildings during this time. The hospital remains open and operating as normal.

We appreciate your patience as we take these precautions during severe winter weather.

Alejandro Barrera-Godínez, MD is a dermatologist at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and an assistant professor of Dermatology at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. He completed his dermatology and internal medicine residencies at Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Médicas y Nutrición Salvador Zubirán, and later his fellowship in Advanced Clinical Dermatology at Boston Univerisity. Dr. Barrera-Godínez is passionate about health equity, particularly in Latino and LGBTQ+ communities. His clinical interests include inpatient dermatology, LGBTQ+ dermatology, complex medical dermatology, and medical mycology.
