To help prevent the spread of seasonal respiratory illnesses, we strongly encourage all visitors to wear a mask while in ambulatory clinics or inpatient units. Surgical masks are available at hospital and clinic entrances. Patients with respiratory illnesses should also wear masks. Thank you for helping protect our patients, staff, and community.

Thomas Maher, MS, is the Laboratory Manager of the Molecular Genetics Diagnostic Laboratory at Boston Medical Center and an Assistant Professor of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

Thomas is licensed by the American Society for Clinical Pathology as a Molecular Pathology Technologist and is a Diplomate in Laboratory Management. He has been managing the Molecular Genetics Diagnostic Laboratory at BMC since 2012 and has mentored graduate students for over two decades.
