About

Stephanie is a Social Worker (LCSW) working as part of the BMC Emergency Department Addiction Consult Team (EDACT). Stephanie has worked with EDACT since they first joined the ED in 2024. Stephanie comes to BMC with many years of experience working with folks with substance use, particularly with AHOPE (Boston's Syringe Exchange/Harm Reduction program). Stephanie works within a Harm Reduction framework and enjoys working with both patients and staff to promote patient autonomy and equitable treatment. She received her MSW from Boston University. Stephanie is bilingual in Spanish and has worked in the past as a Spanish Medical Interpreter and as a Hospital and ED Social Worker in several Boston area hospitals.
