Dr. Cordella is a physician executive focused on quality, patient safety, and healthcare delivery improvement. As Associate Chief Quality Officer for the Boston Medical Center Health System (BMCHS), he leads large-scale quality improvement initiatives across the institution and helps set the system's quality vision and strategy.

Dr. Cordella is also an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Clinical Informatics. Trained in health services research, he uses quasi-experimental methods to evaluate quality outcomes and to build toward a learning health system. His work applies advanced analytics and emerging digital tools to make care safer and more effective for patients.
