About

John L. Berk, MD, is a pulmonologist and the Assistant Director of the Amyloidosis Center at Boston Medical Center (BMC). He is an expert in pleural disease, pulmonary fibrosis, and amyloidosis, with specific emphasis in familial and localized amyloid disease. Dr. Berk is also a professor of Medicine at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. A prolific researcher, Dr. Berk is a member of the Evans Center for Interdisciplinary Biomedical Research at Boston University and a member of the editorial board of Amyloid, the journal of protein folding disorders.
