About

Fitzgerald M. Shepherd, MD, is a board-certified internist at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and an assistant professor of general internal medicine at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. An experienced hospitalist with a focus on patient-centered, high-value care, Dr. Shepherd took on the role of medical director of BMC’s new Hospital at Home program in January 2024. He received his medical degree at the University of the West Indies Faculty of Medical Sciences in Jamaica, and has been practicing for more than 14 years.
