About

Demian Szyld is an Emergency Physician at Boston Medical Center and currently serves as the Vice Chair of Faculty Affairs in the Department of Emergency Medicine. He is Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. His research interests include the use of debriefing and peer support to improve health care quality and clinician performance and wellbeing, the evidence base for simulation-based education in healthcare and faculty development programs. Prior to joining BMC, he was the Senior Director of the Institute for Medical Simulation and led faculty development programs internationally and was the inaugural Medical Director of the New York Simulation Center for the Health Sciences at NYU School of Medicine.
