About

Dr. Batchelder is a licensed clinical psychologist and the Vice Chair and Chief of Psychology at Boston Medical Center. She is also an Associate Professor in at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. She is also the founder and director of the Behavioral Health Equity Program. Dr. Batchelder has clinical, research, and leadership experiences in a range of safety-net hospitals and community mental health and other hospitals settings. While her work focuses on serving people with HIV, substance use disorders, and unmet subsistence needs, she has training and experience working with people across the lifespan with a wide range of psychiatric disorders (e.g., mood, trauma, psychotic, and developmental disorders) in various settings (e.g., in-patient, outpatient, primary care, carceral, psychiatric emergency settings, and in patients’ homes). Additionally, she has published over 100 scientific articles and chapters and has received 15 grants as principal investigator.
