Giới thiệu

Minh T. Truong, MD, is a renowned radiation oncologist, serving as chief of radiation oncology at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and Professor and chair of radiation oncology at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. She is an internationally recognized expert in the treatment of head and neck, skin, and central nervous system malignancies, as well as rare benign diseases such as airway amyloidosis. 

A trailblazer in her field — where only 30 percent of practitioners are female — Dr. Truong was awarded the prestigious Fellow of the American Society of Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) in 2022, recognizing her contributions to the field and her leadership within the society. She serves on several national committees, including the Scientific Committee of ASTRO, the American Board of Radiology (ABR), and NRG Oncology, which includes collaborations with the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP), the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG), and the Gynecologic Oncology Group (GOG). 

Dr. Truong has made significant contributions to both clinical practice and research. She has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications, editorials, book chapters, and invited reviews. Her research has driven advancements in radiation oncology on both a national and global scale, particularly in the treatment of complex malignancies.  

In addition to her clinical and research roles, Dr. Truong is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of radiation oncologists. She has educated and trained many residents in the Harvard Radiation Oncology Program and numerous physician faculty at Boston University.  

Dr. Truong earned her medical degree from the University of New South Wales and completed her residency in radiation oncology at New York University Medical Center, where she served as chief resident. She continues to contribute her expertise as a member of the National Cancer Institute’s Adult Oncology Treatment editorial board.
