A program providing diagnosis and treatment for skin cancer, including melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and cutaneous lymphoma.

Dermatology Residency
Our dermatology residency program aims to develop well-rounded dermatologists who will become leaders in patient care, teaching, and research. Our program provides robust clinical exposure and hands-on experience in numerous dermatology subspecialties. We also offer career development opportunities, such as research time and a formal mentorship program.
Dermatology Fellowships
In conjunction with the BU Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, BMC offers four fellowships in dermatology:
- ACGMA Dermatopathology Fellowship: A two-year fellowship focused on preparing individuals for an academic career in dermatopathology
- Cutaneous Oncology Fellowship: Provides training in the monitoring early diagnosis and management of patients with various types of cancer
- International Dermatopathology Fellowship: Provides training for overseas physicians who plan to return to their home country
- Rheumatologic Dermatology Fellowship: Focuses on connective tissue diseases and other complex medical dermatoses
Dermatology Research Overview
BMC’s Dermatology Department conducts research in various areas and subspecialties of dermatology, including melanoma and other skin cancers; epigenetics of skin disease; biology of aging; skin pathology; wound healing; and translational research.
