Hormuzdiyar H. Dasenbrock, MD, MPH, FAANS

Hormuzdiyar H. Dasenbrock, MD, MPH, is a neurosurgeon at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and an assistant professor of neurosurgery at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. An expert in endovascular neurosurgery, Dr. Dasenbrock uses minimally invasive techniques to treat conditions such as brain and spinal cord aneurysms and fistulas.

Dr. Dasenbrock has significant clinical research training, having completed a Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellowship during medical school at Johns Hopkins University as well as obtaining a Master of Public Health degree, with a concentration in Quantitative Methods, at the Harvard University School of Public Health.

Dr. Dasenbrock’s research interests are in technical advances in cerebrovascular neurosurgery; neurosurgical outcomes, particularly using large datasets; and predictive analytics. He has authored numerous papers in publications such as Neurosurgery, Journal of Neurosurgery, and Journal of the American College of Surgeons.
