Dermatology Residency

Our dermatology residency program aims to develop well-rounded dermatologists who will become leaders in patient care, teaching, and research.Our program provides robust clinical exposure and hands-on experience in numerous dermatology subspecialties.  We also offer career development opportunities such as research time and a formal mentorship program. 

Dermatology Fellowships

BMC offers four fellowships in dermatology:

  • ACGMA Dermatopathology Fellowship: A two-year fellowship focused on preparing individuals for an academic career in dermatopathology
  • International Dermatopathology Fellowship: Provides training for overseas physicians who plan to return to their home country
  • Cutaneous Oncology Fellowship: Provides training in the monitoring early diagnosis and management of patients with various types of cancer
  • Rheumatologic Dermatology Fellowship: Focuses on connective tissue diseases and other complex medical dermatoses

Research Overview

BMC’s Dermatology Department conducts research in various areas and subspecialties of dermatology, including melanoma and other skin cancers, epigenetics of skin disease, biology of aging, skin pathology, wound healing, and translational research.
