Hepatitis A is an infection that affects liver function. It spreads very easily and is often contracted through contaminated food, water, or contact with an infected person. Symptoms include jaundice (yellowing of skin and eyes), fatigue and abdominal pain under the ribs on the right side. Most cases of hepatitis A don’t cause permanent liver damage and are curable.
