Below is Boston Public Library’s monthly calendar of free activities for parents and children. Activities are offered in the children’s room at various BPL locations as well as at four Family Nurturing Center of Massachusetts locations in the greater Boston area.
Local Pregnancy and Parenting Resources
We recommend the following Boston-based organizations to families needing additional support in their journey, including during pregnancy.
Boston Healthy Start Initiative
Program for pregnant and parenting individuals who self-identify as Black and live in Boston—providing resources, health education, and advocacy for enrolled families
Childbirth Education Classes
Childbirth classes to help you learn what to expect during the labor and the birth process
Healthy Baby Healthy Child
Home visit program for pregnant and parenting families with children under five years old who live in Boston
Room to Grow
Works with families from the third trimester through toddlerhood to support child development, assist with material needs, and connect parents and caregivers to community resources
