About

Andrew J Kompel, MD is a radiologist at Boston Medical Center (BMC). Dr. Kompel is also an assistant professor, Fellowship Director, and Section Chief of Musculoskeletal Imaging at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. His areas of clinical and research interests include collaboration with orthopedists in quantitative cartilage analysis, sports related injuries, and advanced MRI imaging. Dr. Kompel has co-authored multiple peer reviewed papers, authored book chapter and review articles on musculoskeletal topics, and given lectures nationally on musculoskeletal ultrasound.
