Ophthalmology Research Overview

The retina service participates in both clinical and translational research. We serve as a clinical site for the DRCR Retina Research Network as well as for trials on investigational retina therapeutics. Members of the retina service have received funding grants for novel retinal imaging techniques and for studies establishing links between ocular biomarkers and dementia. Additionally, our service has published widely on the use of telehealth in ophthalmology and socioeconomic disparities in eye care.
