Vaishali Sanchorawala, MD is a hematologist and the Director of the Amyloidosis Center at Boston Medical Center (BMC). Dr. Sanchorawala is also the Skinner Professor of Amyloidosis Research in the Department of Medicine at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. She is recognized as one of the leading international experts and a key opinion leader in amyloidosis. With numerous publications and meeting presentations, Dr. Sanchorawala is one of the pioneers in the field of clinical research in AL amyloidosis and her work in the treatment of AL amyloidosis has resulted in the evolution of the standard of care. Dr. Sanchorawala is Associate Editor of Amyloid: The Journal of Protein Folding Disorders and former Secretary of the International Society of Amyloidosis.
