General Academic Pediatrics (GAP) Fellowship

The General Academic Pediatrics (GAP) Fellowship is based in the Division of Health Services Research within the Department of Pediatrics at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. BMC is a mission-driven academic center with a 100+ year legacy of advancing health equity, to improve the lives of marginalized, urban, and immigrant children.

As a GAP Fellow, you’ll be embedded in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment through the broader Academic Primary Care Fellowship, including partners across General Internal Medicine, Addiction Medicine, Family Medicine, Surgery, Preventive Medicine, and the BU School of Public Health.

OUR MISSION

The core objective of the GAP Fellowship is to build research competency and launch the next generation of independently funded, impact-driven physician-scientists and academic leaders. Fellows graduate with the tools to conduct high-quality, community-informed research that addresses the complex challenges facing child and family health.
