Donate to Team Runny Noses
As dedicated academic otolaryngologists, our physician team seeks to:
- Offer outstanding wraparound medical care while addressing the underlying social determinants of health affecting a patient’s overall wellbeing
- Train future generations of surgeons and caretakers
- Conduct high-quality clinical research
When Mike Platt, MD, became Program Director of BMC’s otolaryngology residency in 2016, his mission was to ensure his residents were leading active, healthy lives despite their busy schedules. He created Team Runny Noses, a BMC community fundraiser, and invited residents and employees to compete in local athletic events while raising funds for their department. Since 2016, the team has participated in Boston’s Run to Remember, the Boston Marathon, Boston Triathlon, and more. Funds raised have allowed our department to upgrade our technology and send our residents to academic conferences.
