The Neurology Department offers a full spectrum of neurological care, including examination, diagnostic evaluation, consultation, treatment, comprehensive follow-up, and rehabilitation recommendations for disorders of the nervous system. Patients receive the latest in therapies and treatments based on research that is ongoing at BMC. We have advanced clinical expertise in all neurology sub-specialties.

The Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Memory Disorders Program at Boston Medical Center provides consultation for inpatients and outpatients as well as a full range of diagnostic testing. Our interdisciplinary group of board certified neurologists, nurse practitioners, neuropsychologists and speech pathologists are highly trained and dedicated to the assessment and management of patients with disorders of behavior, cognition, memory, and language.
The Concussion and Traumatic Brain Injury Program at Boston Medical Center provides consultation for inpatients and outpatients with sports-related neurological injuries in addition to other traumatic injuries, such as motor vehicle collisions, falls, and assault.
The Epilepsy Program at Boston Medical Center provides comprehensive consultation for patients within the clinic and hospital setting. We are a Level 4 Epilepsy Center as reported in US News and World Report.
The General Neurology Program at Boston Medical Center provides consultation for outpatients on a wide breadth of neurological diagnoses. General neurologists practice comprehensive neurology, a designation covering a wide range of conditions that affect the nervous system.
The Division of Hospital Neurology specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of hospitalized patients with complex neurologic disorders.
The Interventional Neuroradiology Program at Boston Medical Center offers minimally invasive diagnostic imaging and treatment for conditions that affect the brain, neck, and spinal cord.
The Multiple Sclerosis Program at Boston Medical Center provides consultation for inpatients and outpatients as well as a full range of diagnostic testing and treatment options. Our board certified neurologists care for patients with a wide range of disease severity, and follow patients longitudinally throughout their disease course.
The Neurocritical Care Program at Boston Medical Center provides expert intensive care in our Neurocritical Care ICU. Our closed-door neurocritical care unit is staffed by board-certified neurointensivists and specialty-trained nurse practitioners to deliver cutting edge emergency neurological care, with 24/7 inpatient hospital coverage.

The Neuromuscular Disorder Program at Boston Medical Center provides consultation for inpatients and outpatients as well as a full range of state-of-the-art diagnostic testing modalities.
The Neuropsychology Program at Boston Medical Center provides in-depth cognitive and psychological evaluations. Patients are often referred for neuropsychological symptoms due to memory difficulties, mood disorders, learning disorders, and neuropsychological symptoms due to medical illness.
Neurosarcoidosis is a complex, chronic inflammatory disorder that may affect any single part of the central and peripheral nervous systems. Through comprehensive neurological exams, modern complementary testing and periodic multi-disciplinary case conferences with other specialists from the Sarcoidosis Center (pulmonologists, cardiologists, neuroradiologists), the neurologists from the Neurosarcoidosis Clinic at Boston Medical Center aim to provide excellent care for all possible forms of neurosarcoidosis.

The Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Program offers consultation, expertise and comprehensive care to individuals with neurological movement disorders. The Department of Neurology’s Global Health Initiative provides opportunities for residents and attending physicians to provide neurological care in developing nations. The Initiative includes a Global Health Track for residents with formal presentations on global health neurology and opportunities in field experience and research.
