Spondyloarthritis includes several arthritic conditions caused by inflammation of the spine and other joints, and can affect other organs. It can be difficult to diagnose, but the team in BMC’s Spondyloarthritis Program is made up of leaders in the diagnosis and treatment of these conditions—including using point-of-care musculoskeletal ultrasound assessment—who contribute to national treatment guidelines for these conditions. Specialists from across the hospital work closely together to treat all aspects of spondyloarthritis, including same-day visits with Dermatology for patients with psoriatic arthritis.
