Patient InformationAbout Making AppointmentsOur office hours are Monday – Friday, 9 am - 4 pm. Our telephone number is 617.414.4841. Pediatric neurology is a specialty with the Department of Pediatrics at Boston Medical Center. To make an appointment with us, children must be referred by their primary care physician. The referral can come in the form of an insurance authorization or a letter from their primary care physician stating why the child should be seen by a neurologist. Please have that information faxed, along with any pertinent clinical notes, to us at 617.414.4502. Please be sure the home telephone number of the patient is included so that we may then begin the registration and appointment scheduling process. Once we’ve received this information, we will contact the patient directly regarding their appointment. The first step, if they are a new patient at Boston Medical Center, is to complete a 10-15 minute registration process. Please have the child’s social security number and insurance card available to expedite this process. Once registration is complete, the appointment scheduling process can begin. Please have their schedule available and be sure the coordinator is aware of any conflicts or schedule limitations. Once an appointment has been booked, the patient will receive an appointment reminder letter 1-2 weeks before the appointment and a reminder call the week of the appointment.
