Wellness and Recovery after Psychosis (WRAP)

Resources for Patients

Local Mental Health Services

Part of WRAP's role is to help orient patients and families to the variety of treatment services available in the community. In the greater Boston area, services ranging from in-the-moment crisis support to the long-term stability offered by day programs and regular group therapy are available from community partners.

There is not a one-size-fits all approach to treatment, but our team is here to answer any questions or help problem solve around additional resources.

The WRAP team has also produced a guide to the services and supports available to Massachusetts residents through the Department of Mental Health (DPH):

Food and Nutrition Support at BMC

WRAP takes a holistic approach to wellness for our patients and families.

Our patients are eligible to receive food from BMC’s Preventive Food Pantry, located in the basement of the Yawkey Building on the BMC campus. Referred patients can receive groceries (including fresh fruit and vegetables) every two weeks. Any WRAP provider can refer patients to the program—please ask!

Also, in partnership with BMC’s Teaching Kitchen, we offer nutrition groups and classes for patients and their families.

See below for additional support resources—in areas ranging from job and career development to help with the costs of transportation—from our community partners in the greater Boston area.

Recommended Community Resources

The WRAP team has collected these recommended resources to help patients with transportation assistance to visits, housing support, free meals, college preparation services, adult education classes, job training, and more!

THRIVE is Boston Medical Center’s custom screening and referral program that asks all patients about social needs that could be affecting their overall health and wellbeing. You can use the THRIVE program’s searchable database to find help in other areas as well.
