Surgery Residency Training at BMC
The BMC Pediatric Surgery team teaches and trains medical students and surgical residents at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine as well as students at the Boston University School of Public Health.
Our five-year surgical residency program provides residents with the range and depth of surgical experience and academic exposure required to develop superior surgical skills and an ability to make informed, independent judgments.
Surgical Research to Advance and Improve Care
In conjunction with the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, the BMC Section of Pediatric Surgery engages in research to advance and improve care.
Our research focuses on using surgical data to better understand and improve patients' outcomes, with a particular focus on children in our community who are socioeconomically disadvantaged.
