Katrina E. Traber, MD, PhD

Katrina E. Traber, MD, PhD, is a board-certified pulmonologist and research scientist at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Sleep & Critical Care Medicine at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, where she also co-directs the MD/PhD Program.

Dr. Traber received her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine and also holds a doctorate (PhD) in microbiology from NYU. She completed her general internal medicine residency at BMC, where she subsequently completed a fellowship in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine.

Dr. Traber’s research focuses on identifying and developing new strategies to treat severe neutrophil-based sequelae of pneumonia, such as ARDS and sepsis.
