Sameera (“Sam”) Jangala is a Community Wellness Advocate for Boston Medical Center’s Curbside Care Program, which provides postpartum and newborn healthcare directly to families within their Boston neighborhoods using a specialized mobile van.
Sam is responsible for prenatal recruitment and resource connection for Curbside Care families. She meets eligible families prenatally, and connects with them again postpartum on the mobile clinic. She helps connect families to resources at Boston Medical Center and in the community.
Sam holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biotechnology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where she also worked as a researcher on a project related to lung function and sleep apnea in children. Her interests include creative writing and environmental sustainability.
