Weather Advisory: Temporary Door Closure

Due to extreme cold, access through the Moakley Building's entrance off Boston Medical Center Place will be temporarily closed from 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, through 7 a.m. Monday, Feb. 2.

All patients and visitors should use the main entrance for the Menino and Yawkey Buildings during this time. The hospital remains open and operating as normal.

We appreciate your patience as we take these precautions during severe winter weather.

Marisol Figueira, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician at Boston Medical Center and a clinical associate professor of pediatrics at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. Dr. Figueira worked as a physician in Venezuela for several years before joining BMC. Her research on single antigen strategy for prevention of recurrent and chronic suppurative otitis has receiving funding from the NIH. Her other research interests include otitis media pathogenesis prevention and treatment, streptococcus pneumoniae pathogenesis, haemophilus influenzae pathogenesis, and experimental otitis media models.
