Weather Advisory: Temporary Door Closure

Due to extreme cold, access through the Moakley Building's entrance off Boston Medical Center Place will be temporarily closed from 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, through 7 a.m. Monday, Feb. 2.

All patients and visitors should use the main entrance for the Menino and Yawkey Buildings during this time. The hospital remains open and operating as normal.

We appreciate your patience as we take these precautions during severe winter weather.

Laurie M. Douglass, MD, is a pediatric neurologist at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and an associate professor of Neurology at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. Dr. Douglass specializes in pediatric epilepsy, dietary therapies including the Ketogenic Diet for epilepsy, seizures in babies born prematurely, and general child neurology. She received her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years.
