To do this, we provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment and treatment for children, adolescents, and their families. Our goal is to ensure that every child thrives no matter what their mental and behavioral health needs may be.

In conjunction with the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, the BMC Department of Psychiatry is deeply committed to providing education for the next generation of psychiatric and clinical care providers. With our exceptionally diverse patient population and wide array of clinical services and research, we offer a unique place for providers to learn.
The psychiatry team at BMC provides training opportunities for medical students, interns, residents, fellows (with five distinct fellowship programs in subspecialty areas ranging from addiction psychiatry to global health), MSW and MMHC candidates, pre- and postdoctoral psychologists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners.
