Magdaleina V. Joseph, PhD, AAPRN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC

Magdaleina V. Joseph, PhD, AAPRN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in primary care and general internal medicine at Boston Medical Center (BMC), and an Instructor of Medicine (General Internal Medicine) at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

Dr. Joseph earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida, and continued her studies there, earning a Master’s and finally earning her doctoral degree (PhD) in Nursing Science. She is certified as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), a Family Nurse Practitioner—Board Certified (FNP-BC), and a Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).

Dr. Joseph brings over two decades of experience in the healthcare sector. Throughout her career, she has made noteworthy contributions to clinical practice across a variety of settings, as well as to patient care and nursing education. Her passion lies in health promotion and preventive medicine.

Dr. Joseph’s research interests are primarily focused on women’s health, specifically aimed at enhancing the gynecological wellbeing of women both in her community and in Haiti. In addition to English, she is fluent in French and Haitian Creole (Kreyòl Ayisyen).
