Lillian J. Juttukonda, MD, PhD, is a board-certified pediatrician and physician scientist specializing in neonatology (newborn medicine) at Boston Medical Center (BMC), and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

Dr. Juttukonda earned her medical degree along with a doctorate in microbiology and immunology from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. She completed her pediatric residency training through the Boston Combined Residency Program of Boston Medical Center and Boston Children’s Hospital, and completed a Harvard Medical School fellowship in neonatal and perinatal medicine through Boston Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Juttukonda cares for newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at BMC and performs basic and translational research investigating neonatal nasal mucosa development and respiratory viral infections. She is actively involved in training undergraduate, masters, and medical students in research.
