About

Dr. Lena Liu is a neurologist at Boston Medical Center and Assistant Professor of Neurology at Boston University School of Medicine.

Dr. Liu's clinical interests include women's neurology and headache. Dr. Liu focuses on issues specific to women with neurological disease. She manages and treats neurologic disorders as they relate to all stages of women’s lives, including menstruation, pregnancy, menopause, and aging. In May of 2025, she published a textbook on women's neurology as one of the chief editors. She is also interested in medical education.

Dr. Liu received her bachelor's degree from Cornell University and her medical degree from Hofstra University School of Medicine, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. She completed residency in neurology and fellowship in women's neurology at Mass General Brigham.
