Weather Advisory: Temporary Door Closure

Due to extreme cold, access through the Moakley Building's entrance off Boston Medical Center Place will be temporarily closed from 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, through 7 a.m. Monday, Feb. 2.

All patients and visitors should use the main entrance for the Menino and Yawkey Buildings during this time. The hospital remains open and operating as normal.

We appreciate your patience as we take these precautions during severe winter weather.

About

Kevin M. Monahan, MD, is a board-certified cardiologist and Director of the Electrophysiology and Arrhythmia Center at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and an Associate Professor of Medicine and Cardiovascular Medicine at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

Dr. Monahan received his medical degree at University of Connecticut, completed his residency and fellowship at Beth Israel–Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School, and has been in practice for more than 25 years. He specializes in cardiac electrophysiology.

Dr. Monahan is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC). He has been honored as one of Boston Magazine’s Top Doctors since 2004.
