Katrina Ann Steiling, MD, is a pulmonologist and critical care physician at Boston Medical Center (BMC). She is also an assistant professor of Pulmonary, Allergy, Sleep & Critical Care Medicine and a member of the Bioinformatics Graduate Program at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. Dr. Steiling is a physician-scientist with longstanding clinical and research interests in improving the ability to effectively detect, treat, and cure smoking-induced lung diseases such as lung cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Her current research focuses on effective and equitable implementation of lung cancer screening and lung nodule evaluation programs, and identifying and overcoming health disparities in these areas. Dr. Steiling founded the Lung Nodule Clinic, led the implementation of a multi-disciplinary Lung Cancer Screening Program, and currently co-chairs the Lung Cancer Screening Steering Committee at BMC.
