Kathryn (Kate) M. Hartshorne, MSN, is a certified nurse-midwife (CNM) and International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Boston Medical Center (BMC), and an Instructor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. She earned her nursing degree from Frontier Nursing University in Versailles, Kentucky.

Kate has been working with birthing families for over 20 years and is passionate about helping people achieve their reproductive goals with dignity and respect.
