About

Dr. Smith is a Neurologist and Movement Disorders Specialist. She is Division Chief in Movement Disorders and Associate Professor at the Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. 
Dr. Smith has been caring for patients with Movement Disorders for over 10 years. She is dedicated to delivering patient-centered, compassionate and cutting-edge care to all patients in need. She has expertise in using deep brain stimulation surgery and botulinum toxin injections to treat Movement disorders. Her research focuses on finding better ways to diagnose and treat cognitive impairment in Parkinson’s disease. She has led clinical trials on speech markers and music-based interventions in patients with Movement disorders. 
Dr. Smith received her medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She completed a Movement Disorders Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Neurology.
