About

Berk Degirmenci, MD is an attending rheumatologist and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Boston University Medical Center. He completed his medical degree with cum laude at Istanbul University Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty, followed by internal medicine residency at BMC-Brighton (formerly known as St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center) where he was honored with several recognitions including Intern of the Year (Stohlman Award) and Resident of the Year (Ramaswamy Award). He completed his rheumatology fellowship at Boston University Medical Center.

Dr. Degirmenci's interests include inflammatory arthritis, vasculitis, Behcet's disease, ultrasound and medical education. He is a graduate of USSONAR program and certified by American College of Rheumatology for use of musculoskeletal ultrasound (RhMSUS). He has been recognized nationally and internationally for his work, including election to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology.
