David T. Felson, MD, MPH, is a rheumatologist at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and a professor of Epidemiology at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and Boston University School of Public Health. Dr. Felson is also the Director of Training and Education for the Boston University Clinical Translational Science Institute. A renowned clinician and scientist, Dr. Felson specializes in rheumatic diseases, arthritis, and osteoarthritis (OA). He has received numerous prestigious national and international awards, including the Kunkel Young Investigator Award and the Clinical Research Award from the American College of Rheumatology, the Lee C. Howley, Sr. Prize for Arthritis Science Service from the Arthritis Foundation (in both 2004 and 2020), and the International Nachman Prize, given to the rheumatologist who has contributed most to our understanding and treatment of rheumatic diseases.
