Danby Kang, MD

Danby Kang, MD, is a board-certified trauma and acute care surgeon at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

Dr. Kang received her medical degree from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Paul L. Foster School of Medicine in El Paso, Texas, and completed her general surgery residency training in Chicago, Illinois, at Rush University Medical Center and Cook County Hospital. She subsequently completed a fellowship in Acute Care Surgery and Surgical Critical Care at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Kang’s interests include interpersonal violence and recidivism prevention, with a special focus on community-level involvement and grassroots effort.
