Chidi A. Wamuo, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

Dr. Wamuo earned his medical degree from Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, Dayton, Ohio, and completed his psychiatry residency at the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He has completed fellowships in both Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, through Harvard Medical School/Boston Children’s Hospital, and in Forensic Psychiatry, through UMass Chan Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts. He is board-certified in both Adult and Child & Adolescent psychiatry.

Dr. Wamuo’s clinical and research interests include forensic psychiatry, the criminalization of mental health, and racial and gender disparities in psychiatry.
