Ajay N. Sharma, MD, MBA

Ajay Nair Sharma, MD, MBA, is a board-certified dermatologist at Boston Medical Center, where he serves as the Director of Mohs and Dermatologic Surgery, and an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

After earning his bachelor's degree at UC Davis, Dr. Sharma completed his MD/MBA degrees and dermatology residency training at UC Irvine, where he served as Chief Resident. He then completed a rigorous fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at the Massachusetts General Hospital under Harvard Medical School. He has served on the Boards of Directors of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American College of Mohs Surgery, with particular interests in healthcare access and education.

Dr. Sharma's research has focused on the epidemiology of rare skin cancers, predictive analytics for surgical outcomes, and systematic reviews of oncologic treatments, with over 100 peer-reviewed publications and presentations. He practices Mohs micrographic surgery, reconstructive surgery, cosmetic dermatology, and general dermatology.
