I only have evening and weekend availability. Can I volunteer?
Ambassador roles include a 3-6pm shift. Late evening shifts and weekend shifts are very limited, and only available to volunteers who have been volunteering with us for an extended period of time. These opportunities tend to fill quickly and there is less need for volunteers during these hours. If you have any flexibility with your schedule, we encourage you to note it on your application.
Does Volunteer Services provide shadowing, observing, or internship opportunities?
No, the Volunteer Services department does not handle shadowing, observing, or internships. If you are interested in shadowing, observing, or internships, you must reach out directly to the department you are interested in working with.
Is there an age requirement to volunteer at Boston Medical Center?
During the school year, we only have opportunities for volunteers who are 18+. For the summer, we have opportunities for rising high school juniors and seniors via our Junior Summer Volunteer Program.
Do you require letters of reference?
No, unless a specific department/position requires it.
What is the easiest way to get to Boston Medical Center Main Campus?
