Chin Surgery (Mentoplasty)

As with all areas of the face, the chin can have profound effects on other areas, such as the forehead and nose. The outpatient procedure involves a small incision either underneath the chin or inside the mouth. If the chin is too large, the bone will be resurfaced in order decrease its size. If too small, specialized implants utilized to give the chin volume and a more defined look.

Ear Re-shaping Surgery (Otoplasty)

Some children are born with ears that protrude further from the scalp than normal. Otoplasty combines procedures that re-creates absent folds that are normally in ears, reduces the amount of show of the ears by setting them back, and returns the ear to a more anatomically normal position. This is accomplished through an incision behind the ear and stitches are used to hold the cartilage in a new position. This is done as an outpatient procedure.

Eye Lid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)

Blepharoplasty is aimed to reduce the excess of the skin of the eyelids as well as any swelling or sagging of the fat around the eye. These common effects of aging can result in a tired or sad facial expression. Some minor corrections in the upper lid can be easily corrected in the office with a little bit of local anesthesia in under an hour. More involved procedures will be done as an outpatient procedure. While most eyelid procedures are performed for cosmetic defects, some individuals experience a loss of their visual fields as a result of overhanging skin.

Filler Injections

Injectable fillers are made of injectable biologic agents that are meant to provide bulk or volume to the surrounding tissue. This is technique provides a minimally invasive option to reduce the lines and wrinkles of the face without having to undergo a facelift procedure. These agents can be utilized to give volume to the cheeks and cheekbones, reduce the folds underneath the cheek (the nasolabial folds), give volume to the lips and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

Neck Lift

Aging is not only limited to the face, loss of elasticity also occurs in the neck. This leads to sagging skin and fat under chin as well as banding of the neck from the underlying muscle. In addition to the traditional neck lift procedure involving incisions behind the ear and a small one under the chin, the minimally-invasive web necklift in performed. This involves less dissection and a quicker recovery time from the traditional approach.

Repair of Facial Trauma

Damage to the bones or soft tissues of the face from sports injuries, assaults or accidents can be more serious than they initially appear to be. If not addressed in a timely fashion, trauma to the face can lead to visual impairment, numbness, difficulty speaking or chewing and permanent facial deformity. Our surgeons have extensive experience diagnosing and treating facial trauma in order to restore your face to its baseline state.

Revision Rhinoplasty

Revision Rhinoplasty is typically required when a previous rhinoplasty has not achieved its intended results, or has resulted in unwanted changes to the nose (which can occur over time). These cases tend to be more difficult and often require additional tissue grafting techniques to counteract the scar that has formed from the previous surgery.
